Wallach reported that Jenner was being considered for the role of Superman, which ultimately went to Christopher Reeve.
"I really don't know how many offers we have," Wallach claimed.
This would require forgoing any future Olympic competition.
At the time, Jenner's agent George Wallach felt there was a four-year window – until the next Olympics – upon which to capitalize.
Jenner was inducted into the United States National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1980, the Olympic Hall of Fame in 1986, the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame and the Connecticut Sports Hall of Fame in 1994, and the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.
