I have a publisher (Server A) and a distributor/subscriber (Server B) set up with transactional replication with updating subscribers.
The front end application is smart enough to switch over to Server B if Server A is down.
I cannot execute an UPDATE command on a replicated table at the subscriber if this UPDATE statement updates more than one row.
Let's take table T_Person (ID, Name, msrepl_tran_version) as an example : For example, I can execute : UPDATE T_Person SET Name = 'John Doe' WHERE ID = 108 This command only updates one row, so it executes with no error.
