if i restore my crappy ipod, will it also delete all my music in itunes?
as long as your computer will still read the ipod, open my computer and the ipod drive (e: most likely) and go into the ipod control folder.
copy and paste the “music” folder onto your computer. cut and paste your “music” folder back onto your ipod. you now have an ipod that works again, with all your music. :) (now…it has since done the same thing *again* to me…but it saved my music the first time, and i think its just buggy itunes software :p) good luck all! tried holding the 'select and menu keys' – nothingtried holding the 'menu and play keys' nothing.tried holding the 'forward and rewind keys' result – this partially unlocked the ipod and allowed me to connect to a used ipod updated (note all music will be lost!! tried holding the 'select and menu keys' – nothingtried holding the 'menu and play keys' nothing.tried holding the 'forward and rewind keys' result – this partially unlocked the ipod and allowed me to connect to a used ipod updated (note all music will be lost!!
im or emial me – by ben haydenok this has been going on for a while now, so i'm tired or just waiting for it to magically fix itself – itunes suddenly stopped reading that my ipod is connected to my computer .. the “do not disconnect message appears on my ipod when i connect it to my computer, but itunes never reads it).
i've tried restarting it millions of times by holding in the menu and center button, but it doesn't change anything. i don't have any backup disks with my music in itunes on them because it would take too long to make them.
i push play on certain songs or albums and sometimes, only on certain songs (not all songs), it either freezes up or just skips and goes to the next song until it finds one it is “able” to play. – by lizi have the same problem as liz but only worse for not only does itunes not recognise my ipod, but so does the computer! and i can't update or restore it either because those options aren't 'clickable' because the computer says the ipod is not there when it bloody is…how do i get it to be recognised? i'm seriously pissed off aswel, my ipods not bin happy 4 a while, the computer has recognised it as a mass storage device and also as the ipod but the ipod button won't appear on my itunes.
